Ace of Hearts

The Search for Love Card

The meaning of the Ace of Hearts, the first card in the deck, is the “desire for love”. However, the desire for money is also present because of their Ace of Diamonds Karma Card. People with this birth card have strong spiritual inclinations, but they are often “tempted” off the path by indecision and their hidden desires.

More than other cards, they can have the best success by turning this indecision into creativity and many become accomplished writers. In any case they need some variety in the work that they do. All are Capricorns so their work is important along with a desire to achieve something of importance in this life.

Much difficulty in later life is avoided when they turn their interests towards metaphysics. They should avoid a tendency towards fickleness and promiscuity if they are ever to find the peace of mind and heart they are seeking. Giving brings them the highest rewards.

The Love Affair Card

As one of the semi-fixed cards, the Two of Hearts are certain about their direction and will accept it from no one else. They have marvelous minds and a natural insatiable curiosity that leads to great mental development. However, they never stray far from the basic meaning of their card, that of the “lovers”.

They need other people and have very high, sometimes unrealistic, ideals about love and marriage. They would always prefer to be with someone rather than be alone and will wait as long as necessary for the right person to come along. They usually end up associating with others of means and power and prefer this kind of company.

Financial fears crop up from time to time and must be handled carefully so that they do not affect their health and well being. A study of metaphysics will always bring more positive guidance and fulfillment. Many have natural psychic ability that can be used for fun or profit. As Capricorns, all have a tendency to be too practical and hard. Lighten up Two of Hearts!

Three of Hearts

The Indecision in Love Card

The Three of Hearts is the first card in the Mundane Spread of cards and represents the departure of Man and Woman from the Garden of Eden. In search for what and who they love, they can often become confused and dissatisfied, even when they find the perfect love standing in front of them.

Of the threes, all of whom demand the freedom to explore possibilities, the Three of Hearts can become the most confused and bewildered mentally and emotionally. Either they are very fickle in love or the one they love is fickle. They are quite psychic, hard workers and have success whenever they apply themselves. They need a certain amount of change or travel in their vocation to be happy.

They are very charming and attractive people and have no trouble attracting others to love. The challenge comes once they find someone. They are here to learn to make decisions about love and money and to learn the value of higher knowledge. Once they do, they find great fulfillment in giving love and truth.

Four of Hearts

The Family Card

Here we have the first Four in the deck, the first to seek stability and foundation. The Four of Hearts seeks this in relationships. These people have high ideals about love and family and when these ideals are not reached, the pain can be so great that they need some form of escape to soothe themselves.

If their ideals are combined with truth and objectivity, these people can have wonderful lives of fulfillment in family and other love areas. Many are healers and protectors and others come to them for love and support in times of need. They all have a need for self-expression and do well with groups and organizations as teachers and event organizers. Some have great scientific minds as well.

They are very good with money and have no one but themselves to blame if their lives are not happy and productive. They must maintain good health habits as this card, more than others, never gets away with indulgence, either physical or emotional. Satisfaction comes in giving.

Five of Hearts

The Emotionally Restless Card

All fives need to settle down and the Five of Hearts is no exception. Their unsettledness also extends to finances because of the Four of Diamonds underlying. The Five of Hearts wants to experience all that love and money has to offer but often fail to find it because they never concentrate on one person or job long enough to get the rewards of sustained effort.

Is it any surprise that the basic meaning of this card is “change in affections” and “divorce”? These people invariably meet many people, have many “friends” but few ever get close to them. They have the ability to make as much money as they want, if they would apply the power of their Four of Diamonds and stick to one thing. But that involves losing out on all the other possibilities of life and only few make that sacrifice.

Their lives are enhanced by the study of spiritual knowledge in any form. It provides answers and blessings. They can become great teachers. They usually find more satisfaction in relationships that are non-committed and open.

6 of Hearts Playing Card
Six of Hearts

The Peace Maker’s Card

This is a card of harmony and stability in love and family. The Six of Hearts person is aware of the “law of love” and apply themselves to maintain stability in relationships. This stability can make for a satisfying life or one of monotony and boredom. It all depends upon how it is handled by the individual.

They are somewhat fixed and dislike changes. Sometimes this can keep them in a relationship longer than necessary as they sort out their intentions and motives. They are usually successful and can apply their great mental power to most any area with success, in spite of occasional fears about not having enough.

They are here to settle karmic love debts, to forgive and forget and they can rise to the heights of spiritual awareness by their actions. They never get away with injuries to others and are well aware of that. As the card for Christmas, their lives are intended to be that of plenty and giving. It is here that they find happiness.

7 of Hearts Playing Card
Seven of Hearts

The Spiritual Love Card

The Seven of Hearts has a quest for the truth about love and relationships. They are old souls who have come here to reach the highest in these areas, “or else”. With two nines in their Life Path, they have come to complete a grand cycle in their soul’s work and to let go of many things so that they may progress to the next level.

These people must learn to let go of all personal attachments and give to others without expectation of return or reward. On the low side, these people can be preoccupied with many suspicions and jealousies, which is but a reflection of their own nature. On the high side, we find those who make great personal sacrifices for others and who give much to the world. All must find some way to give to the world to attain peace and satisfaction. This usually manifests as teaching or consulting.

Anyone born as a seven or nine must learn to give and let go or suffer great pain and disappointment. The Seven of Hearts are the givers of knowledge and love and can reach the highest.

8 of Hearts Playing Card
Eight of Hearts

The Emotional Power Card

The Eight of Hearts has “power in love” and all eights have to exercise discrimination and responsibility in its use. Both karma cards of the Eight of Hearts are sevens. This tells us that they will see almost immediate results when they misuse their power with others.

With wisdom and spiritual awareness they can rise to great heights in sharing their love and healing power with others. Operating out of their fear, we find those who are the dominators of those they love and seek to manipulate others through guilt and withholding of affection and acknowledgment. These people have high ideals about love and relationships, sometimes these ideals are too high to ever be met.

They have great minds, make excellent teachers or they can excel in any occupation where a good mind will make a difference. They have to work hard for the money they make, but it can be made and they need not worry about it. With all the power at their command, there is little they cannot do, as long as it is not motivated by fear.

9 of Hearts Playing Card
Nine of Hearts

The Giver of Love Card

This is a card of great fulfillment, great loss, or both. This card, and its karma card, the Seven of Diamonds, are both spiritual numbers and the fulfillment that comes is rarely personal until all personal desires are set aside and in their proper place. This is the double Saturn card – these people cannot deviate from what is true and “right” without swift, and sometimes bitter, rebuke.

All nines have come to settle affairs and debts from the past, to pay what they owe and move on. For the Nine of Hearts, there will be some completions or endings of key relationships that mark their completion of certain “soul chapters”. If these endings are resisted, they will turn to disappointment and loss.

Their life path is full of spiritual lessons. Those that heed the call and adhere to higher values will have seemingly blessed lives, while those who give into their fears and escapist tendencies will suffer greatly. They are givers, endowed with great minds and hearts to share with the world.

10 of Hearts Playing Card
Ten of Hearts

The Social Success Card

Like the Ace of Hearts, these people have much ambition in their life and could stray off the path of truth as a result. However, they have already experienced the truth and have the knowing that is their birthright to guide them at each step on the way.

They are creative and usually artistic. They are leaders, not followers. They love children and groups of people that they may regard as their children. They are innovators and can make a great contribution in their chosen field as long as they exercise clarity in their judgment. Their motives can either be humanitarian or selfish, and this usually has a lot to do with their ultimate destination.

They are independent and often impulsive but this is usually kept in balance by their wisdom. They can make a unique mark on the world through the application of their inherent gifts. They are usually gentle and wise people – at least the wisdom is there. Their wisdom is their protector and guiding light.

Jack of Hearts Playing Card
Jack of Hearts

The Card of Sacrifice Through Love

As one of the three fixed cards, the Jack of Hearts feels strongly about their version of love. They are surrounded by the Christ spirit of sacrifice through love. Even though they are a Jack, which are sometimes immature and crafty, they are influenced by the wisdom of the Christ spirit, which gives them higher guidance and higher motives in general. They must watch, however, that their martyrdom does not get out of hand.

They can also become escapists and misguided, but this is the exception. Love is their power and birthright. They have come to love others and to show them the way by their example. They often make sacrifices in their life and their personal fulfillment may be given up for some higher cause or philosophy.

As born leaders, they must be successful in their own profession. They all carry the spirit of higher love within them and all people they associate with are in some way uplifted by their presence. They find their greatest fulfillment on a spiritual path.

Queen of Hearts Playing Card
Queen of Hearts

The Mother Card

As the “double Neptune” card, the Queen of Hearts has its share of idealism. All of these people possess a certain charm and magnetism that attracts others. They are the “mothers of love” and share this love with all they come in contact with. They either get married and devote themselves to family or get involved in some professional career.

These people are very sweet, attractive, sociable and loving. They can be successful artists and all have an appreciation for art and beauty. Many are aware of and make use of their abundance of psychic ability. As long as their idealism is guided by truth, they can live the life of love and nurturing that is their birthright.

When operating on the lower levels, they can be too self-indulgent, lazy, frivolous, and into the “good life”. There are many escapists and alcoholics among the Queen of Hearts as well. Once they set their sights, however, there is no limit to how high they can climb in their work and career.

King of Hearts Playing Card
King of Hearts

The Father Card

Standing at the top of the suit of love, the King of Hearts recognizes that love is the highest power of all. These people make devoted parents, but not always the best spouses. Their devotion to their children and profession often displaces the love they would give their spouse.

They do love everyone, forever, its true, but sometimes the wrong associations bring problems. These people can be overbearing, as all Kings can, but this is only the case when they have been betrayed by those they hold closest to their hearts. From past lives, they bring with them the knowledge of mastery of their emotions and of their family life.

Consider yourself blessed if they consider you to be one of their “family”. There are inevitable losses of loved ones in their lives but they know the truth and can let go though they still feel the pain. Many of them are mentally gifted and sometimes psychic. Much knowledge just flows to them and they use this to rise up to the top in their careers.
